Kate Douglas creates highly detailed paintings of how she sees the world. She is known for her labour-intensive artworks with unique compositions and viewpoints. Intimate glimpses of nature and reminders of bygone days are recurring subjects, reflecting her focus on environment and preservation.
Kate has exhibited throughout Australia at venues including the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts, Redcliffe Art Gallery and Gippsland Art Gallery. Kate has been a finalist in many Australian art prizes and her artwork features in several public collections including Queensland Health and Ipswich Art Gallery.
