Originally from Sydney, Jennifer was involved in the Australian fibre sculpture movement in the 1970s. Her relocation to north-eastern NSW saw her practice shift into painting. In 2002 she pursued botanical painting of plant forms at the Herbarium of the Brisbane Botanical Gardens. The sensitivity to colour and detail in her current work stems from a botanical eye. Jennifer has regularly participated in group shows at both the Gold Coast City Art Gallery & Tweed Regional Gallery. She was recently selected in 2013 as an artist participant in the Gold Coast Art Gallery’s speed curating event. Jennifer currently teaches visual arts at the Uki Primary School and works in her painting studio in the Tweed Valley of N.S.W.
