Anthea Polson Art specialises in contemporary Australian art and sculpture, as well as unique investment works. After more than thirteen years at one of Australia’s largest commercial art galleries, Art Galleries Schubert, Anthea established her own gallery. Since 2009, Anthea Polson Art has promoted emerging Australian contemporary artists, and provided superior service and advice, which clients have come to respect and value.
With their broad knowledge of Australian art, Anthea, Lisa and Jacquie provide an art consultancy service for both private and corporate collections, assist with installation and designing stunning interiors, together with a range of other services to both artists and art collectors. Anthea Polson Art also hosts a regular exhibition programme that showcases the work of emerging and established contemporary artists.
The Gallery is located at 29 Tedder Avenue, Main Beach Queensland
After more than 30 years selling Australian art, Anthea is well known to the art community in Australia. Anthea has energetically contributed to the promotion of contemporary Australian artists, actively seeking out new talent and introducing emerging artists to the commercial art world. She has also always curated an interesting selection of Australia’s best investment art for resale and works closely with art dealers, art valuers and auction houses to support the secondary market. Anthea’s depth of knowledge and experience has made her a valued advisor to art investors in Australia, and overseas.
Anthea looks forward to introducing all generations of art lovers to contemporary investment art – and to introducing our finest emerging and established contemporary artists to you through an engaging and fun exhibition schedule. As well as assisting you with your art investment in the gallery, Anthea will be happy to assist with onsite consultations at home and in your office, hanging and installation, framing, restoration and valuations.
With extensive travels abroad, studies at RMIT, Melbourne and a background in fashion and fine art photography, Lisa Grulli brings a definitive edge to the services provided by Anthea Polson Art. Lisa has more than a decade of experience in working alongside Anthea in selling Australian art.
Prior to joining Anthea Polson Art, Lisa was an integral member of the Art Galleries Schubert team – much valued by her colleagues for her IT ‘know-how’ and by clients enthused by her understanding of contemporary art practice. As well as assisting you with your art investment, Lisa will be assisting us with our photography, graphic design and maintaining our online presence.
A graduate of Sydney’s National Art School with degree in Art Education, Jacquie’s early experience as both an exhibiting artist and visual arts teacher at Secondary and Tertiary levels, resulted in an invitation to participate in federally-funded programmes in Alice Springs and Broome which introduced members of the indigenous population to the use of contemporary materials and methods of art practice.
Jacquie assists with mentoring our emerging artists and liaising with our more established artists in the preparation of a great number of solo exhibitions. Jacquie also assists with the writing of our exhibition essays, and assisting our artists with their CVs, prize submissions, press releases and invitations.
