My work focuses on cultural markers and identity, chiefly in the medium of oils, I explore the relationship between painterly abstraction and the living form with narrative themes based on migration, cultural values and humanity. I am concerned with the impact that our country of choice, country of origin and cultural heritage have on the identity of the individual, exploring immigration, ‘fitting in' and cultural nuances.
